Warm Up: 1. Describe the terms prefix and suffix. 2. Describe how to identify and analyze the root word, prefix, and suffix of a word.
Intro/Developmental Activities: Derivational Suffixes are suffixes that change a word's part of speech. For example, the word 'kind' is an adjective. Adding the suffix '-ness' causes the word 'kindness' to be a noun.
